Lacey Heasley
Lacey Heasley is an aspiring author who is currently earning her BA in English, with a focus on Creative Writing. This is a later in life career change after having spent 20 years in healthcare. Lacey is a midwife and a nurse who has spent long nights waiting for babies and busy days recovering patients from surgery. Lacey has always been a writer. During her formative school years, she was twice selected to attend the Iowa Writer’s Workshop Conference. Encouraged by her English teachers, she developed a passion for writing that has stayed with her ever since. Lacey's writing includes poetry, fiction stories, and health related research articles. However, her true passion lies with non-fiction writing. She uses her quippy sense of humor and conversational tone of writing to provide a unique perspective to tough life situations. She is currently working on a memoir and a fiction novel.
